Our charity relies on many hundreds of generous people who support When You Wish Upon A Star and we are grateful when a corporate partner, community group, school or individual choose us to raise funds to enable us to continue granting some very special Wishes.
We would like to say THANK YOU to all our supporters who have organised events for us whether they are taking us on as their charity of the year, attending our balls, climbing mountains, running marathons, celebrating special birthdays or anniversaries, holding coffee mornings or organising events at their school. It really does help and makes your donation important to us.

Motor Cycle Easter Egg Run
We would like to thank Mansfield Fire Station for hosting the Motor Cycle Easter Egg Run - supporting When You Wish Upon a Star - an incredible 2120 Easter Eggs were donated by all the motor cyclists who took part and an amazing £1081.13 raised - £800 will be donated to sponsor a child on a truly magical trip to Lapland from the East Midlands in December. The remainder of the money raised will purchase days out trips for children in Nottinghamshire who have been affected by Fire.

Fire Engine Wash
Well Done to the girls from The Co-operative Travel Shop in Stockport last night who did a Fire Engine Wash for us.They went in all neat and tidy and extremely dry, and came out dishevelled, soaked to the skin, but what a laugh they had. Alder Community High School Raise £500
A huge thank you to Alder Community High School in Gee Cross, Hyde, for the recent donation of £500.00. The children raised this by having a dress down day at the end of last term. Thank You for choosing When You Wish Upon A Star.
Funds Raised from Showcasing Musical Talents
A massive thank you to Audioface and their students, for raising a fantastic £1421.00!!! They raised the funds by hosting a charity evening, to showcase the student's musical talents. Audioface have chosen to adopt us for 2012, THANK YOU !!

Skydive & Bungee Jump over the Grand Canyon for Charity
The Wish Team would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Emma Dowling, for taking time out of her recent holiday in Las Vegas & doing a Skydive and Bungee Jump Over the Grand Canyon!!! All to raise funds for When You Wish Upon A Star... WELL DONE EMMA !!!!

RAF Kinloss's 24 Hour Endurance Race
When You Wish Upon A Star would like to say a huge Thank You to Paul Hamlet and the service Men and Women of RAF Kinloss who decided to raise funds for the charity by doing a 24 hour endurance race.The race took place over the 25th and 26th August on the Air base at Kinloss and managed to raise a massive £2000.00. Thank you once again to everyone involved.'


Raising Cash with 'Jailbreak' Adventure
We would like to say a massive Thank You to Sammy, Laura and Amanda who took part in a Jail Break from their home in Dundee to London and back again to raise funds for When You Wish Upon a Star. The escapees managed the 960 mile round trip for free while collecting donations along the way. As the girls enjoyed the experience so much they are now planning their next Jail Break for 2012. Well done girls, keep up the good work.


Trio Reach Paris
We would like to say a HUGE Thank You and well done to the ACT Trio, local Stockport boys - Alex, Charles and Tom, who decided to raise funds for "When You Wish Upon A Star" by cycling from Manchester to Paris.
On the 10th August 2011 , day 7 of their adventure, we were delighted to hear they had arrived on target in Paris.

Abbie and Family Reach the Summit
A huge well done to Mandy and Rick Sims, daughter Abbie, family and friends who completed their challenge to climb Mount Snowdon. So far they have raised over £2500. Breadsall Priory Charity for the Year 2010/2011
We would like to say a huge thank you to Mark Annison past men's captain of Breadsall Priory Golf Club for taking us on as his charity for the year 2010/2011 and raising an amazing £3720.43 - Thank you Mark for all your support.
Charity Football Match
Recently Simon Chamberlain from Leicester Police organised a charity football match between Leicester Police and Leicester Football Club Stewards- the match was held at the famous Walkers Stadium in Leicester. Many supporters turned out on the night to support Simon and his team and When You Wish Upon a Star.
The total raised on the evening was £475. Well done guys and thank you to all who took part.
The Orient Express – Northern Belle Charity Dinner
On the 8th October 2010, the Orient Express invited When You Wish Upon A Star to join them on their legendary train "The Northern Belle" for a fun filled evening and what an evening it was!
Dale Uses His Head
Dale Mason from the estates team at Castle College in Nottingham recently raised an amazing £800 from his sponsored event ‘Growing His Hair’. Click here to read more...
Nottinghamshire Scouts and Guides
We would like to thank the Nottinghamshire Scouts and Guides for raising a fantastic total of £886.57 from the Mansfield Gang Show which was held at Mansfield Palace Theatre in October 2010. They have also supported us at the Nottingham Gang show in March held at The Theatre Royal and hope to raise £1500.

Park Hill Golf Club
We were delighted when Park Hill Golf Club in Leicester nominated us as their Charity for the year.
Ladies and Men's captains for 2010/11 Anna Reynolds and Chris Johnson nominated us as their charity for 2010/2011 - throughout the year several Captains Days were organised with raffles and charity evenings, and even a sponsored ‘Stop Smoking' from Chris Johnson which raised £1500. The final total for the year was an amazing £7050. The money that they raised will go towards granting a very special Wish for one of our Wish children to experience a truly magical holiday to Florida to Swim with the Dolphins. We would like to say a huge thank you to Anna and Chris and all at Park Hill Golf Club for their support and generous donation.
