During these uncertain economic times When You Wish Upon a Star has sadly seen a drop in donations. For the many children across the UK suffering from life-threatening illnesses, time will not wait therefore, it is essential that we have the funds available to grant their special Wishes...
Over the years we have all been very privileged to meet so many incredible children. We have gained an insight into their arduous journeys which has both warmed and broken our hearts.
Each Wish brings with it an opportunity to look forward to something very special, to forget about their painful treatments and to simply be a child for the day. A Wish creates a lifetime of treasured memories for the child and their family. Having seen the profound impact the experience has on the whole family we felt we needed to ensure that despite the challenging economic times these brave children can continue to have their dreams fulfilled.
China Trek May 2010
So what is China Trek and how will it help...
In May 2010 we are all quite simply putting on our walking boots and walking The Great Wall of China to ensure we raise the vital funds necessary to grant every single precious Wish that we receive into our office from these incredibly brave and courageous children.
