Lapland
The highlight of the charity's year is each December to charter 4 planes and take up to 400 very sick children to Lapland to meet the real Father Christmas.
Their journey begins at 4am when they arrive at the airport to board the plane full of excitement.
On arrive at Lapland they experience the wonders of the magical forest and enjoy husky rides, reindeer trails, hot chocolate with toasted marsh mellows plus plenty of time to go sledging and snowballing plus lots more.
They are then taken to a hotel and are treated to dinner and entertainment by the Elf band. Once dinner is over Rudolf brings along Santa on his sleigh to meet all the children.
Still full of excitement and energy the families cross the Artic Circle to make a special visit to Santa's Village. They meet the Elves in the post office sorting letters from children all over the world, have a go on the ice slide and it has been known that they witness the amazing sights of the Northern Lights.
