MEN Arena really ‘ROCKED!!’ for 4 very surprised wish children in November...
When You Wish Upon A Star invited several ‘Wish’ children along with their families, for a very special night out at the M.E.N Arena, to watch one of the hottest pop artist line up’s seen in years, and performing together all under the same roof.
Greeted by Sam the ‘Wish Fairy’ the very excited guests were soon whisked off to a private suite for lots of scrummy pre show food and drinks. However, what our ‘Wish’ children did not know was the ‘surprise’ that lay in store for them and only moments away.
After getting the nod that all was in place, the 'Wish' children were asked to grab their cameras, hurriedly saying giddy goodbyes to their mum's and dad's.
Four very excited children, escorted by the lovely Keith (head of security) and Sam the 'Wish Fairy' made their way along several corridors, in and out of lifts and along more corridors, encountering lots of security checks along the way, eventually arriving at a secret destination deep in the depths of the Arena.
The puzzled look on the children's faces was priceless, they were asked to wait in a room, and told somebody will be paying them a surprise visit to say 'Hello'...
What the children didn't realise at this point was that they all had one Wish in common, which was to meet a certain celebrity.
The door slowly opened to gasps of delight and disbelief as the children's hero walked through the door...the one and only Mr. Gary Barlow..."Hiya" said Gary in his very distinctive Northern accent, the children's faces were a picture!! Gary happily posed and signed autographs for all the children, had a quick natter before having to dash off to host the Children In Need Concert...
Making their way back to where the children had abandoned their parent's reliving in disbelief what just really happened...
The concert was fantastic, with some truly amazing artists performing, but for some of our very special wish children it really rocked!!...
