Häfele UK helps make wishes come true this Christmas

Staff at Häfele UK, the Rugby–based furniture fittings and architectural hardware specialists, have raised an impressive sum of money for When You Wish Upon A Star, The charity that grants the wishes of children living with life- threatening illnesses.

So far this year, Häfele has donated a total of £10,800 to the charity When You Wish Upon A Star, and is well on its way to increasing this to £20,000.

The money has been raised over the course of the year, with employees at every level taking part in a variety of fundraising activities, including quizzes, sporting events and cake sales.  The company’s recent Laps for Lapland event, which involved employees walking or running around Draycote Water, raised an incredible £2,500.00.  The money raised will pay for children with life-threatening illnesses to spend a magical day with Father Christmas in Lapland. 

Diane Rowicki, chairperson of the Häfele Charity Committee, comments:  “We are delighted with the amount raised so far and couldn’t have done it without the fantastic support shown by the wonderful staff at Häfele UK. 

“I’d like to thank everyone who gave so generously to this truly worthwhile cause- you’ve really shown that Häfele has a big heart when it comes to charity.”

Häfele has also donated over £2,000 collectively to 28 additional charities over the course of the year.
