Our 18th Birthday Celebrations
All children have Wishes, but for our poorly children and their families that Wish is so much more precious...
Wishes are varied and far reaching.
For some it is a trip to Disneyland in Florida or Paris to meet their
favourite characters, for others it is a chance to get up close to a
favourite pop star or sporting hero. Some children just want books and
toys, whilst others want a computer to catch up on their schoolwork or
keep in touch with friends. Whatever the Wish, wherever possible, When You Wish Upon a Star
will aim to make that Wish come true. Our aim is to make the most
magical memories for the family and the child to remember, long after
the event is over.Over the years we have seen that making Wishes come true is not only beneficial to the poorly child, but also to the parents, as they see their child's tears transformed into laughter and frowns turned upside down.
At When You Wish Upon a Star we would like to celebrate our 18th Birthday by thanking all our supporters that made it possible and encourage everyone to celebrate with us and help us raise money to ensure we can continue creating smiles on the faces of these very brave and courageous children.

Smile Day
Hold a smile day at your school, workplace or group and charge everyone £1 for wearing or bringing something that makes them smile. Think favourite characters and fairies, football strip, wedding dress, sparkly shoes or perhaps bring along a favourite photo or most treasured possession to your group and tell everyone all about it.
18th Birthday Challenge
We challenge you to raise £18. Why not do a sponsored event, bake 18 cup cakes and sell them to your friends/colleagues or even charge for your tea making services!
18th Birthday Party
Hold an 18th Birthday Party to celebrate with us. Whether it's a coffee morning, BBQ, wine or cocktail evening, children's party or just a visit to your local pub - everybody loves a gathering!
