Wish children meet one of the biggest pop star’s in the world Rihanna
M.E.N Arena 21st November 2011 was a very exciting day for several very lucky wish children
One of the biggest pop star’s in the world Rihanna, was coming to town...
Several 'Wish' children each received a 'surprise' special invitation, inviting them along to watch Rihanna in concert at the M.E.N Arena, but what the 'Wish' team didn't let them know, was that they were going to meet Rihanna after the show!!
In true When You Wish Upon A Star fashion, the children and families were invited along to a private box for pre show food and drinks... As the Arena started to fill with thousands of adoring Rihanna fans, the atmosphere was soon electric...
Partying and dancing away to Rihanna's warm up act Calvin Harris the DJ, the children were definitely in full party swing, and couldn't hide their excitement as Rihanna the pop goddess was about to take to stage..
The screams of excitement from the children were incredible as Rihanna appeared on the stage, the children in a world of their own, and their parent's just tears of joy seeing their children so happy, and for once not thinking about their illness.
As the last song is sung, and the children start shouting for 'more' the final magic wand is waived... Sam the Wish Fairy excitedly announces to the children, that they won't be going home just yet (parent's all in on the secret of course)!
Arriving at a secret location in the Arena, pens and cameras in hand, the children nervously wait for their very special moment. Waiting and waiting... (Well being a superstar does entitle you to this)...
Finally two 'no messing with me body guards' entered the room, followed by the stunning Rihanna... One by one, the children along with their mummy's and daddy's all got the chance to have a lovely group picture together with Rihanna, definitely worth the wait.......
