All profits from ticket sales will go to Alzheimers Society North West and Manchester based children's charity When You Wish Upon A Star.

Set in Belfast against the backdrop of the 1986 World Cup, Shooting for Socrates is a football comedy about following your dreams. Director James Erskine says "I wanted to bring the film to Liverpool to open it because of its many connections with the people of Ireland, North and South. Also as the home of two of the heroes of '86, manager Billy Bingham, and winger David Campbell and so many football fanatics it felt like bringing the trophy home."

Maria Moseley from When You Wish Upon A Star says, "The money raised from the Shooting for Socrates premiere will allow When You Wish Upon A Star to grant more magical wishes, and make a difference in the lives of sick children and their families. Thank you to everyone who helps support this amazing venture"

Tickets for the event are on sale on the FACT websiteand are priced at £16.50 including booking fee.
