Festive dogs raise cash in charity 'Santa Paws' walk
The North East Lincolnshire Sausages are inviting dogs of all breeds to join them in their festive 'Santa Paws' walk in aid of When You Wish Upon a Star.
You and your dog could help make the Christmas wish of a poorly child come true this year - by taking part in a festive charity walk.
Tonja Yates, Chloe Brierley and a team of Dachshunds pulling a sleigh before the Santa paws event for WYWUS December 9.
The annual Santa Paws charity walk will take place in Cleethorpes on Saturday, December 9 from noon to 3pm - all in aid of children's charity When You Wish Upon a Star (WYWUS).
Dogs of all breeds are encouraged to come in festive dress and meet the walk at its starting point outside Wonderland on the North Promenade.
Owner of The Long And Short Of It kennels and organiser of the walk Tonja Yates said: "All dogs are welcome to come along to the walk which we've been putting on the past few years.
"It's a great charity and a great cause - just our way of giving a little bit back.
"All the sausage dogs are coming together in the North East - we all get dressed up with the dogs and Santa and Mrs Claus come along too.
The dogs and their owners will walk along the prom to Brighton Slipway for fish and chips and then walk back again.
This will be the fifth year the North East Lincolnshire Sausages have organised a walk for WYWUS, and each year they raise well over £500.
Last year, an estimated 60 dogs attended the event including dachshunds, spaniels, and a Bernese mountain dog who embraced his inner reindeer and pulled along a bright red sleigh.
