Birmingham Sunrise City 5K
| Sunrise City is a 5k run or walk that takes place at the unusual time of 5.30am on a Friday morning in the summer.
But more than that, it is a community that is growing, with more and more people joining the Purple Movement and adding a wave of colour to their city streets when nobody is expecting it. Starting and finishing in front of the Birmingham Repertory Theatre and the iconic Library building, the route initially takes you out into the City Centre and past landmarks including the Cathedral and Victoria Square. You will then take in a picturesque section around the canal, crossing various bridges and taking in some of the city’s top attractions.
