Community Volunteer - Collection Tins
Are you friendly, reliable, and enjoy connecting with local businesses? We are looking for Community Volunteers to help grow and manage our network of collection tins in the local community.
This role would suit someone who enjoys getting out and about, building relationships, and making difference. Collection tins play an important part in raising vital funds that help us grant magical wishes for children living with life-threatening illnesses.
As a Community Volunteer (Collection Tins), you will support us by assisting with:
Building positive relationships with local businesses
Placing collection tins in local shops, cafés, salons, and community venues
Arranging with businesses convenient times to collect and replace full tins
Recording and reporting all communications with businesses and funds collected
Identifying new opportunities to expand our collection tin network
Ensuring tins are secure, well-presented, and branded correctly

As a Community Volunteer (Events & Partnerships), you will support us by assisting with:
Identifying opportunities for the charity to attend local events (e.g. fairs, festivals, markets, open gardens)
Building relationships with event organisers and community groups
Encouraging local individuals, schools, or organisations to host fundraising events in support of the charity
Recording and reporting all communications with people and organisations
Acting as a local ambassador for the charity within your community
Sharing opportunities and key information with the fundraising team
Supporting attendance at events and, where appropriate, helping to organise volunteers to represent the charity

General administration relating to legacy donations and gifts in wills
Liaising professionally with solicitors, executors, and lay executors
Maintaining accurate and confidential records
Supporting correspondence and telephone enquiries
Helping ensure legacy cases are followed through efficiently and sensitively
Assisting the fundraising team with legacy stewardship and donor care
