Frozen JR: The Musical to support our Wishes
Earlier this month, students at Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy in Derby took to the stage for performances of Frozen JR: the Musical. A story about the relationship between Princesses Anna and Elsa - two sisters with a strong bond. Elsa has the magic power to freeze people and objects, which she struggles to control.
Playing to packed out audiences at the Robert Ludlam Theatre, the cast and crew chose to support When You Wish Upon a Star, raising an amazing £500 to go towards our magical Wish granting. Audiences couldn’t praise the show more, from the set and costumes (provided by mollylimpets.com) to the talent on the stage – future stars in the making.
Anna West, Director of Learning for Performing and Creative Arts at the Academy says:
"In producing Frozen Jr as a school show we knew that we would be creating magical moments for all of our younger children who came to watch the show and who met the characters after.
We made wishes and dreams a reality for both our performers and audiences and in choosing When you Wish Upon a star we thought it was apt that we could pass that magic forward in raising money for other children to have their dreams come true.
We hope this money will go towards a sprinkling of magic for a child that really needs and deserves it.
As Olaf said "True love is putting someone else's needs before your own"
