Buckles Law’s Nottingham Office has embraced our cause with enthusiasm and compassion and what makes Buckles Law’s support so special is the personal connection they have built with our work. Members of their team have witnessed first‑hand the impact a wish can have, reinforcing their dedication to helping us bring joy, comfort and hope to families facing incredibly difficult circumstances.

I had the privilege of joining the charity's Wish Trip to Lapland in December and witnessing first-hand the magic they create for children living with life threatening illnesses and their families. While the snow-covered landscapes and meeting Santa Claus were unforgettable, what stayed with me most were the smiles, laughter and precious moments shared between families who were able, if only for a few days, to put aside the challenges they face and simply enjoy being together.

 

It is difficult to put into words the impact that a wish can have. These experiences offer so much more than a special day or trip; they create treasured memories, moments of joy and hope, and opportunities for families to make the most of their time together. Seeing that firsthand was both humbling and inspiring, and it reinforced just how important the charity's work is.

 

Supporting When You Wish Upon a Star has become something that is deeply important to all of us at Buckles’ Nottingham Office. Through two coffee mornings, a Santa Fun Run, Christmas wreath making events, and with Jay Talbott from our Compliance Team preparing to take on the Robin Hood Half Marathon, we are committed to raising funds and awareness for this incredible cause.

 

As a charity founded in Nottingham, their work is particularly close to our hearts. We are honoured to play a small part in helping them continue to create moments of happiness, comfort and lasting memories for children and families facing the most difficult circumstances. We look forward to continuing our support and celebrating the extraordinary difference they make every single day.”
