Thomas’s Johnstons of Elgin Wish

History-loving Thomas enjoyed a unique and meaningful wish that celebrated his passion for Scottish heritage, craftsmanship and culture.

Thomas and his family travelled to Scotland, where they were welcomed to Johnstons of Elgin, Scotland’s only vertical weaving mill, for an exclusive private experience. During the visit, Thomas explored the rich history of the mill, learned more about traditional weaving techniques and enjoyed a special lunch with his family.

As someone with a keen interest in history and heritage, Thomas was fascinated throughout the day, asking questions and immersing himself in every part of the experience. The visit also included a very special surprise when Thomas was gifted his own small piece of land in the Highlands and became Lord Thomas of the Glen.

Reflecting on the wish, Thomas’s mum, Nicole, said:

"Thomas has come home from our Scottish adventure relaxed and happy. It made such a difference to have a break from hospital appointments and other worries. As a family, we will always cherish the memories we made during our wish experience and will always appreciate your help and support in making this possible."
