When You Wish Upon a Star takes 100 wish children to Alton Towers

When You Wish Upon a Star is thrilled to share some of the incredible photographs captured by Nathan O’Brien Photography from our wonderful day at Alton Towers last weekend. We had the pleasure of taking 100 children facing life-threatening and terminal illnesses on a special day filled with fun and excitement.

When You Wish Upon a Star CEO, Anita Cleugh, said “The Alton Towers event holds a special place in the heart of When You Wish Upon a Star. Being able to provide extra special summer holiday fun to children who truly deserve to feel joy is a wonderful experience for our entire team. The day was filled with absolute happiness, and it was heartwarming to see families set aside their medical stress and enjoy quality time together. This experience gives us a profound sense of achievement.”

Heather Broadley kindly shared what the day meant to her daughter Ella:

“I would just like to say a massive thank you to you all for an amazing time at Alton towers on Sunday. we had an INCREDIBLE time, so much so we have booked again for Monday! Ella is a bit of a thrill seeker, the faster the better, something mummy has had to learn to like over the years as well! The sounds and squeals we could hear from her was pure joy, she was in her element! The whole day was incredible, and really felt well looked after. we couldn't have done the day without the ride access card, it made things so much easier and stress free for all of us, Ella does not queue, even at traffic lights she gets cross in the car. so a massive thank you to you all for all your hard work and allowing us to be a part of it and giving us an amazing opportunity.”
