Scottish Children's Lottery Announces First Dedicated Charity Partnership with When You Wish Upon a Star

The Scottish Children's Lottery has today announced a new charity partnership with When You Wish Upon a Star. It is the first dedicated charity partnership of its kind for the Scottish Children’s Lottery, and marks the start of an ongoing funding relationship, launched with an initial donation of £25,000.

 

The partnership is made possible through the Jackpot Community Trust, the charity that distributes good cause funding raised through the Scottish Children’s Lottery, alongside sister lotteries The Scotto and What a Lotto. It reflects a model already in place across Jackpot Community Trust’s other lottery partnerships, and adds a new, complementary route through which Scottish Children’s Lottery supports good causes.

 

This dedicated partnership sits alongside, and does not replace, Scottish Children’s Lottery's existing open funding window, through which charities across Scotland continue to apply for good cause support each year. The partnership with When You Wish Upon a Star simply gives Scottish Children’s Lottery a further way to support good causes: an ongoing, dedicated relationship with one charity, running in parallel with the wide range of charities Scottish Children’s Lottery supports through open applications.

Scottish Children’s Lottery has been running since October 2016, and over the past ten years has generated more than £9.3 million for good causes across Scotland supporting children and young people, with over 300,000 children and young people benefiting during that time. The new partnership with When You Wish Upon a Star adds to that legacy, channelling ongoing funding directly to support the charity's work with families across Scotland.
