Grantham Preparatory International School Summer Fete supports When You Wish Upon a Star
Grantham Preparatory International School raised £524 for When You Wish Upon a Star at their annual Summer Fete this month. The event featured a traditional Summer Fete atmosphere with a Pimms tent, tombola, petting zoo, inflatables, a rodeo bull, ice creams, cakes, and much more. The When You Wish Upon a Star team, including Wish Bear, spent a delightful afternoon interacting with the children and families, sharing the importance of the charity's mission.
This event marked the introduction of When You Wish Upon a Star as the school's new Charity of the Year. The school has numerous fundraising activities planned for the coming academic year, including a fashion show, a teacher skydive, and a black-tie ball.
Anita Cleugh, CEO of When You Wish Upon a Star, stated, "When You Wish Upon a Star takes great pride in working with schools across the UK. It is wonderful to see the children and staff at Grantham Preparatory International School so excited to be involved with our charity. We look forward to fostering a longstanding relationship with the school."
Kathryn Korcz, Grantham Preparatory International School head teacher, said “We are thrilled to support When You Wish Upon a Star as our Charity of the Year. Teaching our children the importance of charity and kindness is a core part of our mission at Grantham Prep, and we are proud to see our students so eager to understand and help others. We have many exciting activities planned for the coming year to support When You Wish Upon a Star, and we hope to make a significant contribution towards fulfilling the wishes of children facing life-threatening and terminal illnesses.”
