Amelia's Wish

"When she howled with the wolves at the end and they all joined in with her we thought she would burst with happiness"

Amelia, aged 13, has very recently finished treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) which she relapsed with a short time ago. 

Amelia loves dogs and has 2 herself which she loves spending time with, walking them and training them to do new tricks and react to particular commands and cues. Amelia has a very creative mind and enjoys drawing, writing stories and creating new bakes for her family and friends... and her dogs!!

We recently granted Amelia's Wish to get up close with Wolves, her absolute favourite animal.  We sent Amelia and her parents for a luxury stay in Bath where they got the chance to explore and take in all the sights of the picturesque city before heading to Wolves of Wiltshire. Amelia was so excited and said she felt like she was in a dream! 

Upon arrival, Amelia and her parents were met by Gary, the Wolf keeper who gave them an introduction and told them many amazing facts about Wolves. Then Amelia was able to take Kody, a Timber wolf hybrid crossed with a Northern Inuit on a walk and even got to have some cuddles. Then they visited the Wolf Tower to observe all of the Wolves, feed some of them and Amelia even got the chance to howl along side them. 

"It really was a once in a lifetime experience that none of us will ever forget and to see Amelia smiling so much and being so happy after all she has gone through in the last six years was just wonderful"
